For shops and bars on the street, a visible officer and good CCTV coverage make both easier to manage. Local retail also stretches to Mandale Park, Sandgate Park, Greenside, Basselton Court Shops and Spitfire Shops. Away from the evening trade, Yarm's commercial sites include Durham Lane Industrial Park, Teesside Estate, Airfield Industrial Estate and Warburtons. These are daytime operations, so their exposure comes when staff go home, and alarm response or a patrol fits better than a guard. Yarm, Allens West and Eaglescliffe stations are all close.
