Withington Security FAQs ## Frequently asked questions ### Our shop is in Withington Village. What do you suggest? Police have named ASB in Withington Village, including theft, criminal damage and public order, as a priority. A uniformed retail officer at peak hours, CCTV monitoring through an NSI Gold accredited centre and robust shutters with alarm response all help. ### Why are there no crime figures for Withington? The regional force has not supplied full records to Police.uk, so any one-mile count would mislead. We rely on the Old Moat police priorities instead, and recommend a free on-site audit for a view of your own risks. ### Do you provide security near The Christie and other hospitals? Healthcare sites within 5km include The Christie, Withington Community Hospital and Spire Manchester Hospital. We can provide reception security, car park patrols and out-of-hours cover for clinics and healthcare suppliers nearby. ### Can you protect our car park from vehicle crime? Vehicle crime is on the Old Moat team's list of priorities. CCTV towers, lighting checks and patrols at irregular times, carried out by some of the 55 officers in our local network who drive, make a car park a harder target. ### Do you guard building sites around Withington? Fifty-two building plots appear on the map within 5km, so site protection comes up often. Our options include a guard posted on site, towers recording the compound and patrol visits, each logged by GPS.
