Of the 35 registered security workers within 10 miles, 20 are licensed and active for shifts, and 15 drive their own patrol vehicles. That mix suits a place where industrial estates and moorland roads sit side by side: static posts where a site needs one, and mobile checks where a drive-by visit is enough. - 20 of 35 local security workers are SIA-active - 15 officers in the network run patrol cars - Manufacturing at 7.9% of Rossendale firms - Off-road bikes on moorland a police concern Get a Quote [View Whitworth on OpenStreetMap](https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=Whitworth%2C%20Lancashire) Whitworth Business Profile ## Patrol cars, posts and Rossendale industry Every officer placed in Whitworth has passed BS 7858 screening and is paid through PAYE rather than as a subcontractor. Security Requirements in Whitworth ## Moorland edges and two estates The commercial sites close to Whitworth are compact: Daniel Street Industrial Estate, Fieldhouse Industrial Estate and J&J Ormerod PLC. Birch Hill Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary are within 5km, and 17 pubs and bars are mapped nearby. There is no rail station inside that radius, and the police mention moorland, so much of the surrounding land is open and lightly watched after dark. Patrols that vary their timing are a sensible answer for units on those edges.
