Penryn businesses on estates such as Ponsharden, Kernick and Tregoniggie sometimes need a guard at short notice, after a break-in, a failed shutter or a gap in cover, and our 24/7 control room can be called to arrange it.
Trusted Protection in Penryn
Some security needs cannot be planned. A unit on Bickland Industrial Park is broken into overnight, a contractor's alarm develops a fault on a Friday, or a door supervisor drops out before a busy weekend. Penryn firms can call our control room at any hour to book an officer, patrol or CCTV tower, and each attendance is tracked by GPS. Recorded crime within a mile was 8% higher in the latest quarter, so keeping a plan in place makes sense.
Penryn Business Profile
Of Cornwall's 25,580 businesses, construction supplies 4,020, farming 3,775 and professional services 2,700. Agriculture's share, 14.8%, dwarfs the 4.5% British figure, so outlying farms call for rural patrols and solar CCTV towers. With four construction sites mapped near Penryn, contractors also need short-term guarding when fencing is breached or plant is delivered early.
Utilities are slightly over-represented at 1.0% against 0.6%, a sector that relies on critical-site guarding and remote CCTV monitoring. Around Penryn, estate units at Ponsharden and Kernick suit key holding and alarm response. Any officer we deploy is SIA-licensed, cleared under BS 7858 and employed on PAYE, and the attendance is written up in a digital patrol report the client can review.
The Poly, The Phoenix cinema and Club International are among the venues within 5km of Penryn. Martyn's Law will affect venues for 200 or more when it begins, and our door supervisors and event officers can help operators get ready. What Martyn's Law means for venues.
