Patchway's roster holds 160 registered security workers within ten miles, and exactly half, 80, are licensed and active for shifts. Twenty-five drive, so patrols linking compounds, depots and retail parks fit into a single night. Every officer passed BS 7858 vetting before starting and is on PAYE, and GPS follows each shift from first check-in to last. South Gloucestershire's 10,475 registered firms put construction first, professional services second on 1,565 and business services third on 805. For builders, the answer is usually camera towers, a K9 patrol or a static officer to stop plant walking off overnight. Distribution yards favour a manned gate and guards inside the warehouse. Offices and service firms mostly want keyholders and alarm attendance. 80 SIA-licensed officers within 10 miles 10,475 Registered businesses in South Gloucestershire 46 Active construction sites mapped within 5 km 34 Pubs, bars & nightclubs within 5 km ### Retail, depots and venues around Patchway - **Industrial & business parks:** The Grove Industrial Estate, Fairways Industrial Estate, Abbey Wood Business Park, Vimpennys Lane Business Park, Sampson Business Park and Central Park Distribution Park - **Retail parks & shopping centres:** Cribbs Mall, Centaurus Retail Park, Cribbs Retail Park, Willow Brook Centre, The Shield Retail Centre and Abbey Wood Shopping Park - **Hospitals:** Saint Peter's Hospice and Southmead Hospital - **Rail stations:** Patchway, Bristol Parkway, Filton Abbey Wood and Pilning ### Venues & Martyn's Law The Olympus Theatre, Vue cinema, the Exhibition and Conference Centre and St Michael's Centre bring audiences to the Patchway area. Security Requirements in Patchway ## A town on the edge of the city Patchway sits close to some of the region's largest retail space, from Cribbs Mall and Cribbs Retail Park to Centaurus Retail Park, the Willow Brook Centre and The Shield Retail Centre. Southmead Hospital and Saint Peter's Hospice are nearby, and four stations, including Bristol Parkway and Filton Abbey Wood, keep traffic moving. Commerce on that scale brings theft by day and site intrusion by night. Thirty-four licensed premises add a modest evening economy that occasionally needs door cover.
