Construction follows at 1,040 and professional services at 635. Farms with machinery, fuel and livestock buildings spread across open ground are best served by rural mobile patrols and solar CCTV towers that run without a mains supply. The motor trade is also stronger than average, at 4.0% of firms. Garages and vehicle dealers keep high-value stock on forecourts, which is why forecourt CCTV towers and overnight patrols are worth considering. Officers in our network carry SIA licences, have passed BS 7858 vetting and are paid via PAYE; their GPS book-on and digital write-up give you proof that the check happened. 7,960 Registered businesses in Carmarthenshire 8 Pubs, bars & nightclubs within 5 km ### Business sites near Newcastle Emlyn - **Industrial & business parks:** Antur Teifi Bussiness Park, Melingoed, Ystad Ddiwydianol Heol yr Orsaf and Dairy Partners Cymru (Wales) Ltd ### Venues & Martyn's Law Theatr y Daflod is the named venue within 5km. Security Requirements in Newcastle Emlyn ## Rural trade and a small town Newcastle Emlyn has eight pubs and bars within 5km, one mapped construction site and rail stops at Pontgoch, Pontprenshitw and Forest Halt. There is no retail park in range, so commercial life rests on the business parks, the dairy site and the farms around them. Premises like these are often left unattended overnight and at weekends, some distance from the nearest house. Key holding, alarm response and CCTV monitoring through an NSI Gold accredited centre give owners a way to have alerts checked without driving out themselves. Violence and sexual offences accounted for 111, more than half the total. The rest were spread thinly: criminal damage and arson 19, drugs 17, public order 13 and anti-social behaviour 12. The latest three months were 13% below the same period a year earlier. For businesses, the damage figures and the general isolation of rural sites matter more than the overall count, and alarms with a response plan are a sensible precaution. 200 Recorded crimes in 12 months 111 Violence & sexual offences 19 Criminal damage & arson 17 Drugs 13 Public order 12 Anti-social behaviour Source: [Police.uk](https://www.police.uk) open data, street-level crime within ~1 mile, September 2025 to August 2026. Newcastle Emlyn Security FAQs ## Frequently asked questions ### Can you patrol units at Antur Teifi Business Park? Yes. Mobile patrols, key holding and alarm response are available for units at Antur Teifi Business Park and the Heol yr Orsaf industrial estate. Each visit is recorded with a GPS book-on and a digital report sent to you. ### Our holding is miles from the nearest neighbour. What would you suggest? With 2,050 farm businesses in Carmarthenshire, a quarter of all local firms, isolation is a common problem. Solar-powered CCTV towers need no mains supply, and rural patrol officers can vary their timings so a yard is never predictable to watch. ### Do you protect garages and vehicle forecourts? Motor trade firms make up 4.0% of local businesses, compared with 3.0% nationally. Forecourt CCTV towers and overnight patrols help guard against vehicle theft and damage to stock. ### Is there much crime in Newcastle Emlyn? The Police.uk total for the one-mile radius was 200 offences over twelve months, and the latest quarter fell 13% compared with a year earlier. Criminal damage and arson, the category most likely to hit an empty unit, numbered 19. ### Can you staff an event at Theatr y Daflod? We provide event security and stewards for venues such as Theatr y Daflod. If attendance reaches 200 or more, Martyn's Law duties will apply once it comes into force, and we can help with search and evacuation arrangements.
