Farming alone accounts for 14.8% of local businesses, more than three times the 4.5% British share. For Looe, that means plenty of premises spread over open ground: barns, plant yards and equipment stores. Patrols on irregular routes and solar-powered CCTV towers, linked to an NSI Gold accredited monitoring centre, cover property that no single guard could watch. - Construction is Cornwall's largest sector at 4,020 - Agriculture at 14.8%, against 4.5% nationally - Utilities at 1.0% of Cornish firms - Looe and Sandplace stations within 5km Get a Quote [View Looe on OpenStreetMap](https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=Looe%2C%20Cornwall) Looe Business Profile ## Cornwall's 25,580 businesses Behind construction and agriculture comes professional services, with 2,700 firms. Utilities are a small but above-average group at 1.0%, against 0.6% nationally; pumping stations, substations and similar plant typically need guarding at critical points and remote camera monitoring rather than a constant presence. Builders, meanwhile, need tools, fuel and machinery protected on sites that are often unoccupied overnight. We staff Looe contracts from our wider network of officers. Every officer is SIA-licensed, holds BS 7858 vetting and is employed on PAYE. Visits start with a GPS book-on and finish with a digital report, which gives farmers and site managers a dated record of each check, useful when dealing with insurers after a theft or damage. 25,580 Registered businesses in Cornwall 13 Pubs, bars & nightclubs within 5 km ### Commercial areas we cover around Looe - **Rail stations:** Looe and Sandplace ### Venues & Martyn's Law There is 1 venue within 5 km of Looe, including The Boscarn Pub.
