It was the second-largest crime type in the surrounding mile, at 172 Police.uk reports, and it grew 14% in the most recent quarter. Shops at Talbot Green and Glamorgan Vale can counter that with uniformed officers at the doors and monitored cameras. ### Could a patrol cover Ely Valley Business Park overnight? Patrol officers can visit Ely Valley and neighbouring estates at irregular times, checking doors, gates and fences. Fifteen people in the local network have their own cars for this, and each check is written up digitally. ### What suits a car dealership or forecourt? Motor trade businesses form 5.0% of the Rhondda Cynon Taf total, two points over Britain's 3.0%. Forecourt CCTV towers paired with overnight patrol visits are the usual deterrent against vehicle theft. ### Are door supervisors available for local pubs? Hospitality is 9.6% of the area's firms, compared with 6.5% nationally, and the 5km map counts 30 pubs, bars and clubs.
