Each has a different rhythm, from neighbourhood parades to destination retail, and each faces the rise in shop theft recorded over the past year. Out at Fradley Park and the distribution centres, large yards and loading bays operate around shift changes, while 67 mapped construction sites mean plant and materials are spread across the district. Lichfield Security FAQs ## Frequently asked questions ### Can you guard a distribution site at Fradley Park? Yes. Distribution and industrial premises such as Fradley Park and Britannia Enterprise Park can have gatehouse officers, warehouse guards, vehicle checks and roving patrols. Every attendance is GPS-stamped and written up digitally. ### Shop theft has jumped in Lichfield. What helps? The Police.uk count for shoplifting reached 288 within one mile, an 80% leap on twelve months earlier. A visible guard by the entrance, or a plain-clothes detective on the floor, makes a store a harder target and gives staff at The Sterling Centre or Imperial Retail Park someone to call on. ### Do you secure construction sites around Lichfield? Builders are the district's largest group of firms at 765, and the map counts 67 live projects inside 5km. Solar towers with cameras, a gate guard and night-time patrol rounds keep plant, fuel and materials where the site manager left them. ### Can you protect vehicles and car parks? Vehicle crime accounted for 188 offences within a mile and is the North Lichfield policing team's stated priority. Mobile patrols, CCTV towers and monitoring help deter theft from and of vehicles. ### Can you staff events at the Lichfield Garrick? For performances, functions and shows at venues like the Garrick or the Guildhall, we supply stewards and door supervisors. Larger audiences of 200 or more will bring Martyn's Law responsibilities from 2027, and we can help with the paperwork and the practice beforehand.
