Of these, 210 are SIA-licensed and available to book, 90 run their own vehicles for patrols, 15 work as dog handlers and 5 specialise in CCTV. That depth lets us staff anything from a single reception desk to a multi-site patrol route, with each officer vetted to BS 7858 and paid via PAYE. Of Birmingham's 38,605 registered businesses, 5,245 are professional firms, 4,695 are shops and 3,795 are builders. Retail sits at 12.2% of local firms, against 7.8% across Britain, so store detectives and uniformed officers are a common request. Clinics and care providers are over-represented too, at 7.5% versus 4.4%, so front-desk security and help for staff working alone also feature. 210 SIA-licensed officers within 10 miles 38,605 Registered businesses in Birmingham 122 Active construction sites mapped within 5 km 379 Pubs, bars & nightclubs within 5 km ### Named sites within 5km of Ladywood - **Industrial & business parks:** Magreal Industrial Estate, Broad Street City Centre Energy Network CHP, Summer Hill Industrial Park, Summerfield Industrial Estate, Hockley Industrial Estate and Mott Street Industrial Estate - **Retail parks & shopping centres:** Grand Central, Bull Ring, Birmingham Indoor Market, The Minories Shopping Arcade, Birmingham Rag Market and Newtown Centre - **Hospitals:** Summerfield Urgent Care Centre, Birmingham Children's Hospital, Birmingham Children's Hospital A&E and Woodbourne Priory Hospital - **Rail stations:** Five Ways, Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham New Street, Birmingham Snow Hill and Birmingham Moor Street ### Venues & Martyn's Law Utilita Arena Birmingham, The Crescent Theatre and the Odeon Luxe at Broadway Plaza are all close to Ladywood.
