That gives it 16.7% of the local economy, almost four times the 4.5% British share. Isolated sheds, fuel stores and machinery are hard to watch, which is why rural mobile patrols and solar-powered CCTV towers suit the area. Construction, with 540 firms, carries similar risks around plant left on open ground. Professional services make up another 505 businesses, and hospitality stands at 7.9% against 6.5% nationally. Pubs and hotels may want door supervisors for a busy weekend or a one-off function. So this page carries no one-mile offence breakdown of the kind shown for English and Welsh towns. For an individual site, the premises itself is the better guide: its boundaries, lighting, alarms and the routine for locking up at night. Our free security audit, normally worth £250, examines exactly that and leaves you with a 25-point risk checklist. Local Policing ## Police Scotland in Angus Policing in Kirriemuir is the responsibility of Police Scotland, whose local crime data and priorities are released through its own channels rather than Police.uk.
