Anti-social behaviour produced 55 reports, theft from shops 38 and damage or arson 35. Wiltshire Police chose ASB as the town's priority. Translated into practice, Highworth premises benefit from unpredictable visits after dark, someone on the way when an alarm triggers, and written logs that hold up if the police need them. - 388 recorded offences in twelve months, one-mile circle - ASB is the Highworth neighbourhood team's chosen focus - Haulage and logistics: 11.1% of firms locally - Fourteen active building sites inside 5km Get a Quote [View Highworth on OpenStreetMap](https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=Highworth%2C%20Wiltshire) Highworth Business Profile ## Highworth's patrol team and its customers Twenty security workers on our register sleep within ten miles of Highworth. Ten of them hold current SIA badges and are active for shifts, and 5 have cars of their own. Small numbers, but enough for a looping night route that calls at several estates, plus a responder for alarm activations. GPS fixes every arrival, and the control room turns each stop into a time-stamped digital note you can read next morning. Swindon borough counts about 7,165 businesses. Builders head that list at 1,175, professional practices total 875 and haulage firms 795. Logistics alone is 11.1% of the local base, compared with 4.3% for Great Britain as a whole, so depots, gatehouses and trailer yards dominate our enquiries. Utilities sites are scarcer, 1.0% against 0.6%, though their remote compounds usually prefer monitored cameras to a person on the gate. 10 SIA-licensed officers within 10 miles 7,165 Registered businesses in Swindon 14 Active construction sites mapped within 5 km 10 Pubs, bars & nightclubs within 5 km ### Employment land around Highworth - **Industrial & business parks:** Blackworth Industrial Estate, South Marston Industrial Estate, Tate Estate, G.Park Industrial Estate, Panattoni Park and Shrivenham Hundred Business Park Sources: Go Security officer network (counts rounded to the nearest 5); ONS UK Business Counts via Nomis; place data © [OpenStreetMap contributors](https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright). Security Requirements in Highworth ## Quiet town, big sheds next door Highworth has around 10 pubs and bars inside 5km, a modest night-time scene, but very large employment land on its doorstep: Panattoni Park, G.Park, the Tate Estate, Blackworth and South Marston, with Shrivenham Hundred Business Park a little further. Distribution plots like those empty out after the evening shift, leaving long fence lines that invite testing. So most Highworth conversations turn to the hours nobody is around. Solar CCTV towers over open yards, POD alarms inside vacant units and key holding that spares managers a 3am drive.
