Energy installations like that hold costly equipment, often unmanned and some distance from the nearest house. Farms carry machinery, fuel and livestock. Security Requirements in Falkland ## A rural setting in Fife The facts for Falkland list no retail parks, hospitals, rail stations or venues within 5km, and no mapped construction sites. What they do show is farmland and an energy storage site, plus four pubs and bars. That makes Falkland a place where security is about distance and isolation: protecting assets that sit out of sight, and making sure someone responds when an alarm sounds overnight. Falkland's hospitality trade is small, with four licensed premises in the area, so occasional door cover for a function, a wedding or a seasonal event may be all that is required. We can supply that on a one-off basis without a long contract. Falkland Security FAQs ## Frequently asked questions ### Can you protect a battery storage site near Falkland? Yes. The Pitkevy Farm battery storage facility is one of two named commercial sites within 5km. For energy sites we recommend remote CCTV monitoring, solar-powered towers and mobile patrols, with alarm activations handled by our 24/7 control room. ### Do you offer rural patrols for farms? Agriculture accounts for 7% of Fife businesses, well above the 4.5% national figure. Our rural mobile patrols visit yards and outbuildings at varied times, and each visit is GPS-logged with a digital report for the owner. ### Why are there no crime figures for Falkland? Police.uk's maps stop at the Scottish border, and figures for Fife are released by Police Scotland, so this page leaves them out. Our free audit gives a site-specific view of risk instead. ### Can you hold keys for an isolated property? Yes. Our key holding service means a vetted, SIA-licensed officer attends alarm calls instead of you. It suits farms like Orkie Farm and any building where the owner lives some distance away. ### Do you cover events at local pubs or functions? There are four pubs and bars within 5km of Falkland, and hospitality makes up 8.9% of Fife firms. We can supply SIA door supervisors or event staff for functions, weddings and seasonal events.
