West Mercia Police in Evesham have set three short-term priorities from resident feedback: anti-social behaviour, road safety and drugs. Our patrols, door teams and CCTV are arranged to support the first and third.
Trusted Protection in Evesham
Evesham's Town North and Rural South team reviews its priorities every three months, and for now ASB, road safety and drugs top the list. Two of those reach directly into business premises. ASB, which made up 375 Police.uk reports within a mile, means damaged shopfronts and intimidating gatherings near Riverside Shopping Centre or car parks. Drug activity tends to cluster around quiet yards, alleys and late venues. Mobile patrols, monitored cameras and trained door staff answer both, and our control room records everything.
Evesham Business Profile
Wychavon district holds around 6,645 registered firms. Professional practices lead at 965, builders are next at 880 and farms follow at 625. Farming's 9.4% share is roughly double Britain's 4.5%, so barns, sheds and equipment stores feature in plenty of enquiries. Irregular patrols and solar CCTV towers suit holdings like that, especially where no power runs to the far fields.
Factories also run above the norm, 6.2 per cent against 4.6 per cent. Plants on Four Pools, Bond and Field Barn Lane estates commonly book static officers, managed gates and alarm attendance. Whatever is chosen, the officer turns up with an SIA licence, BS 7858 clearance and a PAYE contract with us, books on by GPS, and files a digital patrol note through our round-the-clock control room.
The Henrician, Regal Cinema Evesham and Spiers & Hartwell Jubilee Stadium draw audiences, and Marilyns trades into the small hours. Martyn's Law begins at 200 people, and our team can draft search and admission arrangements. What Martyn's Law means for venues.

Security Requirements in Evesham
Evesham's shopping runs through the Riverside Shopping Centre and Sinclair Retail Park, with The Plant Centre nearby. Industry occupies Briar Close and Bennetts Hill Business Parks as well as Four Pools and Bond estates. Evesham Community Hospital and the railway station keep people moving through the day, and 28 licensed premises keep Evesham busy after dark.
Building activity is light, with four construction plots on the map inside 5km, so Evesham demand comes mostly from shops, factories and late venues. That shifts the emphasis towards retail officers, gatehouse cover and door staff on Friday and Saturday nights.

Violent and sexual crime made up 843 of them, roughly 38%. ASB contributed 375, shop theft 187, damage and arson 170 and public order 139. Direction of travel is good news: the newest quarter came in 10% under its 2025 equivalent, while shop theft dropped by nearly half, 48%. Retailers who invested in deterrence may be seeing a return, though ASB remains high enough to keep patrols worthwhile.
