Construction firms lead with 745, professional practices follow on 610 and farms on 415. Building's 18.0% share outstrips Britain's 14.1%, and eight projects are under way inside 5km. Plant, cable and timber left on those sites overnight are the usual targets, so camera towers and evening rounds feature in many of our Ely quotes. Farms make up 10.0% of the district's firms, over twice the British level of 4.5%, so solar towers and countryside rounds come into play too. On the business parks, Lancaster Way, Greenham Park and The Dock, keyholding and alarm attendance suit most units. Officers placed in Ely are licensed by the SIA, cleared under BS 7858 and salaried via PAYE. 4,135 Registered businesses in East Cambridgeshire 8 Active construction sites mapped within 5 km 20 Pubs, bars & nightclubs within 5 km ### Venues, parks and landmarks near Ely - **Industrial & business parks:** Cambridgeshire Business Park (Ely), The Dock Business Park, Lancaster Way Business Park, Greenham Park, Fraser's Fishery and ALS Autos (Skoda) - **Retail parks & shopping centres:** Cloisters Shopping Centre - **Hospitals:** Princess of Wales Hospital - **Rail stations:** Ely ### Venues & Martyn's Law The Maltings, Babylon ARTS and the Hayward Theatre are Ely's main stages, with Cineworld for film. Security Requirements in Ely ## Cathedral city with a business edge Ely has a single railway station, the Princess of Wales Hospital and the Cloisters Shopping Centre at its heart. Around it sit Cambridgeshire Business Park, Lancaster Way Business Park, The Dock Business Park and Greenham Park, plus smaller operators such as Fraser's Fishery and ALS Autos. Daytime shoppers, evening audiences and overnight business-park quiet each bring a different security need, which is why event staff and patrols can be combined in one Ely plan.
