Updated October 2026. Security Requirements in Digbeth ## Where the city's nightlife meets industry Digbeth's 5km radius takes in a great deal of shopping and transport. The Rag Market, the Indoor Market, the Bull Ring, Grand Central and the Minories are all within 5km, along with New Street, Moor Street, Snow Hill, Bordesley and Duddeston stations. Industrial addresses such as Oxford Trading Estate, Kingston Industrial Estate and Whitworth Industrial Park are close by, as is Birmingham Children's Hospital. That mix of night venues, markets, transport and industry means footfall at nearly every hour, and security has to switch from daytime retail cover to evening door work to overnight patrols.
