Trusted Protection in Croxteth
Only two named venues appear on Croxteth's map, the events space at Our Lady Queen Of Martyrs and Showcase Cinemas, alongside 40 licensed pubs and bars inside 5km. Functions, film nights and weekend trade still need trained people on the door, someone watching the car park and a plan if a crowd turns awkward. Merseyside Police want greater visibility in busy public areas, and well-briefed stewards support that aim.
Croxteth Business Profile
Liverpool's 14,975 registered firms are topped by professional services (2,360), construction (1,830) and retail (1,555). Hospitality and retail each come in at 10.4%, against British levels of 6.5% and 7.8%. Around Croxteth that shows up on Liverpool Shopping Park, Stonedale Park and Deysbrook Retail Park, where shop floors need uniformed officers, and in pubs and function rooms needing door supervisors.
Forty-five people in our officer network live inside 10 miles of Croxteth, with 30 licensed by the SIA and open to bookings. For an event, that means stewards drawn from nearby rather than bussed in. Screening follows BS 7858, payroll is PAYE, and each team member books on by GPS so the organiser holds an accurate headcount.
Our Lady Queen Of Martyrs and Showcase Cinemas are the venues listed within 5km. Where attendance may reach 200 people, Martyn's Law duties will apply from 2027, and we can draft search arrangements, steward briefings and evacuation routes in readiness. What Martyn's Law means for venues.
