This is a market town on the Usk, inside a national park, where 37.0% of Powys businesses are farms and the commercial map is short: Granada Park Industrial Estate, The Corn Exchange, a gas metering station at Gilwern and fourteen pubs and bars. Large static guarding contracts make little sense here. Scheduled patrols across several premises, solar-powered cameras on remote yards and keyholding for owners who live away fit the place far better. - Farms make up 37.0% of Powys businesses - Market town on the Usk, within a national park - Granada Park Industrial Estate inside 5km - Fourteen licensed premises in the area Get a Quote [View Crickhowell on OpenStreetMap](https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=Crickhowell%2C%20Powys) Crickhowell Business Profile ## What Powys businesses need protecting Powys has 8,785 registered businesses, and 3,250 of them are agricultural. That 37.0% share dwarfs the 4.5% British average, so the assets most at risk around Crickhowell are tractors, trailers, quad bikes, fuel and tools kept in open yards and barns. A solar CCTV tower needs no mains cable and sends alerts to our 24/7 control room, while patrols at varied hours stop visits becoming predictable. Construction follows with 960 firms and hospitality with 635. Hospitality at 7.2% sits slightly above the national 6.5%, which fits a town drawing visitors into the park. Inns, guest houses and event spaces may want door supervisors for busy nights and alarm response once guests have left. Officers we deploy hold SIA licences, are BS 7858 vetted and are paid through PAYE. 8,785 Registered businesses in Powys 14 Pubs, bars & nightclubs within 5 km ### Named sites around Crickhowell - **Industrial & business parks:** Granada Park Industrial Estate and Gilwern Gas Metering Station - **Retail parks & shopping centres:** The Corn Exchange ### Venues & Martyn's Law Clarence Hall and Duffryn Mawr host local events. The town centre, with The Corn Exchange and its pubs, is compact, while Granada Park and the Gilwern metering station sit at the edges. Around that small core lies open farmland and park landscape, so the real security question is how to watch premises spread over distance, often with nobody on site overnight. Crickhowell Security FAQs ## Frequently asked questions ### How can you protect a farm near Crickhowell? Agriculture accounts for 37.0% of Powys businesses, far above the 4.5% British share. We suggest a solar CCTV tower linked to our control room, plus mobile patrols at irregular times, to guard yards, fuel and machinery. ### Do you provide door staff for inns and events? Yes. Hospitality is 7.2% of Powys firms, and fourteen pubs and bars trade within 5km. We supply SIA-licensed door supervisors for busy evenings and events at venues such as Clarence Hall and Duffryn Mawr. ### How much crime is there in Crickhowell? The annual total within a mile was only 129 offences, and 70 of those were violence and sexual offences. Small numbers swing sharply, so a site-specific audit gives a clearer picture than the headline count alone. ### Can you cover a unit on Granada Park Industrial Estate? We can. Granada Park is the main industrial site within 5km. Key holding, POD intruder alarms and alarm response suit units there, with each visit GPS-logged and reported to you digitally. ### We live away from our holiday property. Can you hold the keys? Yes. Key holding means our officer, not you, attends when the alarm sounds, checks the building and secures it. Scheduled inspections can be added for properties left empty between guests.
