Agriculture is the biggest group with 1,255, followed by hospitality at 750 and construction at 745. Farms tend to keep expensive machinery, fuel and livestock in buildings well away from neighbours, so rural mobile patrols and solar-powered CCTV towers, which need no mains supply, are the usual answer. Hospitality runs at more than double its British share. Guest houses, cafes and pubs need evening cover and door supervisors for busy nights, plus key holding and alarm response when owners close up out of season. Officers in our network hold SIA licences, are vetted to BS 7858 and paid through PAYE, and each visit is logged by GPS and written up in a digital report. 5,520 Registered businesses in Gwynedd 5 Pubs, bars & nightclubs within 5 km ### Commercial areas we cover around Criccieth - **Rail stations:** Criccieth Sources: Go Security officer network (counts rounded to the nearest 5); ONS UK Business Counts via Nomis; place data © [OpenStreetMap contributors](https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright). Security Requirements in Criccieth ## Living with a quiet season With no business park or shopping centre inside 5km, Criccieth's commercial life sits in its own streets and the farmland around them. Five licensed premises and a rail station make up most of the mapped activity. That kind of setting produces particular risks. Holiday lets and seasonal businesses can stand empty for weeks, and farm buildings are often out of sight of any road. Scheduled patrols, monitored alarms and CCTV that alerts our 24/7 control room fill the gaps left when nobody is about.
