Construction follows with 475 and professional services with 450. Farming's 14.6% share is more than three times the British figure of 4.5%, so rural patrols and solar CCTV towers that run without mains power are a natural fit for much of the district. The motor trade is also slightly over-represented, at 3.7% of firms against 3.0%, and forecourts suit CCTV towers and overnight checks. Industrial names within 5km include Trutex, Johnson Matthey Catalysts and Hanson Cement, alongside Salthill Industrial Estate and Whalley Industrial Park. Larger plants like these usually need access control and alarm response, logged through GPS book-on. 3,690 Registered businesses in Ribble Valley 28 Pubs, bars & nightclubs within 5 km ### Works, estates and venues near Clitheroe - **Industrial & business parks:** Salthill Industrial Estate, Pendle Trading Estate, Whalley Industrial Park, Trutex, Johnson Matthey Catalysts and Hanson Cement - **Hospitals:** Clitheroe Community Hospital - **Rail stations:** Clitheroe ### Venues & Martyn's Law The Grand theatre, the Everyman Cinema and Eaves Hall are among the venues mapped near Clitheroe, and Martyn's Law will apply to those holding 200 people or more once it takes effect. Security Requirements in Clitheroe ## Market streets and heavy industry Clitheroe combines a town centre with 28 pubs and bars, a community hospital and a railway station, and an industrial fringe that includes cement and catalyst works. There is no retail park or shopping centre on our map, so shops are smaller and independent. That mix calls for different things at different hours: visible patrols in the evening, alarm cover for shops overnight and gatehouse-style access control at the works.
