Farming is the biggest category, 3,095 firms; building comes second with 2,045, professional services third on 1,955. With agriculture over four times as common as nationally, much of the county's risk sits in barns, yards and machinery stores well away from the nearest house. We protect those with unscheduled patrols and towers running on solar power. Garages and dealers are slightly more common than average, 3.7 per cent compared with 3.0 per cent, and they often want a tower watching the forecourt and a patrol calling overnight. The commercial footprint is light: a digester plant, a treatment works and a few firms. That quiet suits residents, but it also means few people are around to notice an intruder on a farm track at night. Police here also prioritise drug misuse with linked ASB, and aim to stay visible and responsive. Our patrol logs can support that work with timed, written observations. Agriculture makes up 19.4 per cent of Shropshire firms, and local police have committed to rural crime for twelve months. Unscheduled patrols and solar camera towers do the work, with pictures monitored by an NSI Gold accredited centre. ### Is crime increasing in Cleobury Mortimer? The newest quarter ran 12% above its equivalent in 2025, out of 123 crimes across the year. Small numbers swing easily, but other theft at 14 and damage at 11 deserve attention from anyone with rural premises. ### Do you cover industrial or utility sites? Sites like Withypool Anaerobic Digester and the Hopton Wafers works suit remote camera monitoring, alarm response and occasional patrols, giving cover without a guard on site full time. ### What about garages and machinery dealers? Motor trade accounts for 3.7 per cent of Shropshire businesses, a little above Britain's 3.0 per cent. A forecourt tower and night visits from a patrolling officer help deter vehicle and plant theft. ### Can you hold keys for my premises? Yes. With key holding and alarm response, our officer attends instead of you when an alarm goes off at night. GPS fixes each attendance, a digital note follows, and the free audit can check how your alarm is set up.
