Chirk Security FAQs ## Frequently asked questions ### Crime is falling in Chirk. Why invest in security? Recorded offences dropped 32% in the latest quarter, which is welcome. But industrial estates such as Canal Wood and Gledrid hold stock and machinery that attract thieves from outside the area, and an empty site at night remains vulnerable. ### Can you guard a factory gate in Chirk? Yes. Manufacturing makes up 6.9% of Wrexham firms, above the British average. Our static guards control access, check vehicles and visitors and handle alarm response, with GPS sign-in and digital shift reports. ### What is available for farms nearby? Agriculture is 8.9% of local businesses. Solar camera towers suit remote yards and fields, and rural patrols call at irregular times to check machinery, fuel stores and gates. ### Who responds if our alarm goes off overnight? With key holding and alarm response, a licensed officer attends instead of you, checks the building and secures it. Our 24/7 control room coordinates the call and you receive a written report. ### Can you help with anti-social behaviour? Anti-social behaviour was the second largest category at 63 offences, and police have made it a focus. Scheduled patrols at closing time deter loitering and give you a written record to share with officers.
