Criminal damage and arson and other theft follow. Lancashire Constabulary's Carnforth & Millhead team names rural crime and reassurance as its focus. For a business, that combination suggests the main exposure is at the edges: yards, quarries and farm buildings outside working hours rather than incidents on the shop floor. - 458 offences recorded within a mile - Rural crime is the local police priority - Kellet Road Industrial Estate and Keer Park nearby - Agriculture is 9.8% of Lancaster district firms Get a Quote [View Carnforth on OpenStreetMap](https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=Carnforth%2C%20Lancashire) Carnforth Business Profile ## Lancaster district's business profile The Lancaster council area has 4,605 registered businesses, with construction on 655, professional services on 500 and hospitality on 475. Agriculture accounts for 9.8% of firms, more than double the 4.5% British figure. That rural weighting is why we lean on mobile patrols and solar CCTV towers here: they cover machinery, fuel and stock at sites without power or overnight staff. Hospitality also runs well above average, at 10.3% compared with 6.5% nationally. Pubs, hotels and restaurants with busy evenings benefit from SIA-licensed door supervisors and evening cover. Every officer we deploy is vetted to BS 7858 and paid through PAYE, and every patrol is tracked by GPS book-on, with a digital report from our 24/7 control room. 4,605 Registered businesses in Lancaster 8 Active construction sites mapped within 5 km 19 Pubs, bars & nightclubs within 5 km ### Industrial and commercial sites near Carnforth - **Industrial & business parks:** Keer Park, Kellet Road Industrial Estate, Carnforth Steamtown, Border Aggregates, Bridge Side and G.
