Dealing tends to gather around unlit service areas, empty premises and spots where nobody is watching. For Camelford firms the answer is presence and evidence: patrols at irregular hours, lighting checks, and monitored cameras that record what happens. Every visit we make is GPS-logged, and reports can be shared with the local team when that helps them act. - Drugs supply named as the local police priority - Overall crime down 4% on the previous year - Pentire Workshops and ThermoFisher Scientific nearby - Seven pubs, bars and clubs within 5km Get a Quote [View Camelford on OpenStreetMap](https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=Camelford%2C%20Cornwall) Camelford Business Profile ## Cornwall's business base and our cover Our facts do not yet show a figure for network officers living near Camelford, so we plan work here around mobile patrols, key holding and remote monitoring. Camelford Security FAQs ## Frequently asked questions ### What can a business do about local drug dealing? Drugs supply is the Camelford & Tintagel team's published priority. Lighting, monitored CCTV and patrols at unpredictable times make a site far less attractive for dealing, and our GPS-stamped reports give the police useful evidence. ### How much crime is recorded in Camelford? Police.uk lists 178 crimes within one mile over the year to August 2026, and the latest three months were 4% lower than a year before. Most were violence and sexual offences, with very few property offences. ### Do you protect farms and rural yards? Yes. Agriculture is 14.8% of Cornish businesses, more than three times the national share. We use solar CCTV towers, POD intruder alarms and mobile patrols to cover machinery, fuel stores and outbuildings far from the road. ### Can you hold keys and answer alarms for us? We can. Our key holding service means a vetted officer attends when an alarm sounds, so you are not called out at night. Every attendance is logged by our 24/7 control room and reported to you. ### Do you work with scientific or utility sites? ThermoFisher Scientific has premises near the town, and utilities form 1.0% of Cornish firms against 0.6% nationally. For sites like these we offer access control support, critical-site guarding and remote CCTV monitoring.
