Rural crime comes first, which fits a county where farms make up nearly a fifth of businesses. Anti-social behaviour and criminal damage follow, and both hit town-centre property, with 79 damage and arson offences logged within a mile. Private patrols and monitored cameras cannot replace the police, but they do watch individual premises and leave a record of every visit. - Police focus on rural crime and criminal damage - Crime up 12% in the latest three months - 34 pubs and bars within 5km - Stanmore Industrial Estate in the area Get a Quote [View Bridgnorth on OpenStreetMap](https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=Bridgnorth%2C%20Shropshire) Bridgnorth Business Profile ## Farming, building and motor trade in Shropshire Across Shropshire there are 15,925 registered businesses, and agriculture accounts for 3,095 of them, a 19.4% share set against 4.5% nationally. For Bridgnorth's farming clients, machinery, tools and fuel left out in the open are the usual exposure. Our rural mobile patrols vary their timing and book on by GPS, and solar CCTV towers watch yards that lack mains power. Construction is the second biggest sector with 2,045 firms, then professional services with 1,955. Motor trade is above average at 3.7% compared with 3.0%, so garages may want forecourt towers and overnight checks. Units on Stanmore Industrial Estate tend to need alarm response and key holding. Every officer we deploy is SIA-licensed and BS 7858 vetted, with incidents reported through a 24/7 control room. 15,925 Registered businesses in Shropshire 34 Pubs, bars & nightclubs within 5 km ### Venues and sites close to Bridgnorth - **Industrial & business parks:** Stanmore Industrial Estate - **Hospitals:** Bridgnorth Hospital ### Venues & Martyn's Law Theatre on the Steps, Reel Cinema and The Arty Space all lie within 5km of Bridgnorth. Security Requirements in Bridgnorth ## Life and trade in Bridgnorth Bridgnorth's named commercial base is modest: Stanmore Industrial Estate, Bridgnorth Hospital and a cluster of cultural venues. Its evening economy is larger than that list suggests, with 34 pubs and bars within 5km, and no mapped construction sites or rail station nearby. Licensed premises, small shops and arts spaces make up much of the town-centre risk, while farms beyond it carry the rural risk the police have flagged.
