Anglesey's 2,725 firms are led by farms, with builders and hospitality following. Agriculture claims 22.4% of island businesses, roughly five times Britain's level, and that one figure drives much of our countryside work. Beaumaris Security FAQs ## Frequently asked questions ### Should our Beaumaris function have door staff? Weddings, parties and late openings run better with licensed staff handling entry and drink-related trouble. Hospitality is 12.3% of island firms, so door work fits the area, and venues holding over 200 will have Martyn's Law to prepare for ahead of 2027. ### How many security workers do you have on Anglesey? Fifteen security workers on our books live near Beaumaris; ten are licensed for work, five drive. Larger events can be topped up with licensed staff from the mainland, all checked to BS 7858. ### Crime is very low. Why would we need security? Just 115 offences were logged locally, 29 of them anti-social behaviour. In Beaumaris the case is mainly preventive: door cover on busy nights, or alarm attendance at premises shut for the off-season. ### Can you protect farms on the island? With 22.4% of island firms in farming, sun-powered camera towers suit yards that lack mains supply, and rounds at irregular hours keep an eye on machinery, diesel and sheds. ### How do you deal with drugs at a venue? Police list ketamine enforcement among their local priorities. Where your entry policy permits, our door supervisors search on arrival, record any finds properly and cooperate with officers.
